Sunrise for Preschoolers (Block 1) (3 - 4.5 years old)
Sunrise is an exciting and innovative pre-piano/keyboard 30-week music program for
preschoolers from 3-4. Introductory concepts of music such as rhythm, beat, tempo, and
music reading will be introduced through the use of fun puppets, teddy bear figures, stuffed
animals, rhythm instruments, and singing and music movement activities.
(Parent attendance is required for this class)
Spring session begins April 9, 2010
Class Time: Friday 10:10-10:55am
Duration: 45 minutes / session ; 10 weeks
Class Size: 3-6 children per class *** 2 spots left ***

Music for Young Children (MYC) is a
comprehensive keyboard-based music program for
children from 3-10. The curriculum covers all facets
of music discovery in a very systematic and fun
approach. The goal of MYC is to create a "Happy
Habit of Music Learning" through a variety of
age-appropriate music activities, including keyboard
playing, singing, rhythm, ear training, movement,
theory, music composition, and many more.

Each MYC class meets in small groups (3-5 children), in their own age category, once a week
for an hour, accompanied by an adult (parent, grandparent or caregiver) who participates in
the program.
Children graduating from MYC programs usually are ready to continue private music lessons
(any instruments) at a late-elementary level.
